Fiscal Responsibility ★ Safer Community ★ Balanced Nonpartisan Leadership

Vote Marjorie K. Eastman for Cary Town Council At-Large
A Common-Sense Voice for All of Cary
Cary is more than a fast-growing town; it’s our hometown. We moved here after our military service for its thoughtful planning, safe neighborhoods, top-rated schools, amazing parks and greenways, and wonderfully diverse population – all of which offered the sense of balance that made our community special. But lately, that balance has shifted and things are changing…
I am running against the one-term At-Large Councilmember with a record of:
RECKLESS SPENDING
Three years in a row, my opponent voted to overspend the town budget, then raised property taxes twice. Families are squeezed, being taxed out of homes & young homeowners are shut out.
NEGLECT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
Despite population growth, no new police officers or firefighters have been hired, yet overspending spiked in “nice to haves” while crime is rising & infrastructure is aging.
OVERLY NARROW FOCUS
My opponent lives & focuses on downtown, with a partisan agenda, urban over hometown approach that dismisses citizens’ concerns on development,
which has excluded many of Cary’s diverse population.
All of these facts are public record available in Meeting Minutes on the Town website.
This must stop & it will with your vote.
Fiscal Responsibility ★ Safer Community ★ Balanced Nonpartisan Leadership
With your support, as your next At-Large Council Representative, I will focus on:
Being a fiscal watchdog and a good steward of your taxpayer money. I believe keeping taxes as low as possible is the first place to start in protecting affordability, focusing on pathways to ownership & affordable housing for every generation! I will ask tough questions, prioritize needs over wants, and stop the overspending.
Ensuring every district is heard, not just the downtown core or one political party. Bringing a seasoned, steady voice who listens & welcomes input
Preserving the character of Cary, understanding greenways and parks, public safety, and economic opportunity overlap - we are a Town, not a City
I’m running for Cary Town Council At-Large because I believe it’s time to return to judicious sustainable growth, restore fiscal responsibility, and a high quality of life.
As your At-Large Representative, I will always be your neighbor first, work to restore a sense of balance and accountability you can trust. As a US Army combat veteran, I bring discipline, an experienced background, and a service-minded approach to leadership.
Did you know that by design, the At-Large Seat is supposed to be nonpartisan?
A return to that legacy is a commitment I make to you.
I will lead with integrity, balance, and our shared values - not an agenda.
I respectfully ask for your vote on November 4th.
